Many bands wait their whole career for that one single that brings them to prominence. For some it never comes, and the group simply disappears. For others, they parlay that one hit into a nice living.
And then there are bands like 3 Doors Down, who have managed to keep the hits coming time and time again. Frontman Brad Arnold spoke to MTV News and said that the band loves the success, but people want to hear so many different songs when they play live, it can make picking a set list pretty difficult.
“We’ve had so many singles, I mean, I am completely thankful for it, but you find yourself, I mean we don’t play every single, but we play most of them and you kind of have to play most of them if they’re hits and I thank God that we’ve had all these hits, but it’s kind of hard to squeeze them into a set and play some new songs unless you want to play that 22 song, two-and-a-half hour Rush set, you know?”

3 Doors Down have been cancelling some shows recently due to singer Brad Arnold having some throat issues and it seems even more shows have been postponed as a result of Brad’s throat problems. The gigs this past weekend and all this week are being impacted.
The singer took to the band’s MySpace page to apologize to fans. He writes “The doctors have made me come home and be completely silent for the next few days… Those of you who know me know that that’s not so easy for me. I apologize to all the people who have tickets to this week’s shows! I promise that we will make it up.”
