Beastie BoyAdam Yauch directed and produced a new film about the top high school basketball players in the country. The documentary is called Gunnin’ for That #1 Spot and follows the athletes as they complete a basketball camp in Harlem, NY.
In the film, Yauch uses editing methods that are similar to how a DJ plays with his records.
Adam spoke to MTV News about that choice: “It was kind of fun to be able to rewind and look at a play again and look at it from a different speed or a different angle. So, I was just kind of playing around with that and yeah, it certainly, it’s referencing like rewind, when DJs rewind a section.”
