It seems that people all around the world don't like the new Guns N’ Roses’ single “Chinese Democracy”... they LOVE it!
The track is the number-one seller on iTunes in Greece, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Finland. It also is the biggest rock song on iTunes here in the States, as well as in Canada, the UK and France.
K-Rock started playing the new track, "Better" last week. It's the one that we had on here for you when the YouTube leak came out a few months ago (the leaker, by-the-way, will not be heading to jail... as if you care).
You can pick up the tracks and 13 others at Best Buy right now.

• Axl Rose Cares About Music Videos Too
This Sunday, Guns N’ Roses released the long-awaited album Chinese Democracy.
Once fans get a taste of the music that singer Axl Rose has been working on for 14 years, chances are they are going to want to see some videos for the tracks, clips that rival the one Axl did for “November Rain”.
Back in the early ‘90s, after he released that video, Rose spoke to MTV News about the importance of a good music video.
“I mean, I also wanted to raise rock music, even though they’re ballads, into a different league because it usually gets put to the side a bit and doesn’t get accepted into certain circles and I wanted to get it to all kinds of audiences so they only way to do that I really felt was to make some pretty elaborate, detailed videos.”
No word yet on if there will be any videos created for the songs from Chinese Democracy, but for the time being, just enjoy the music that’s taken so long to reach your ears.
• Millions Streamed Chinese Democracy
Last week, Guns N’ Roses made their long-awaited album, Chinese Democracy, available for streaming on their MySpace page.
In less than 12 hours, two-million people listened to it.
The project received 25 listens a second. It was taken down on Sunday morning because that’s when the record hit store shelves.
If you want the album, head over to your friendly neighborhood Best Buy, where it is exclusively being sold.
Or get it off of iTunes right now.
• No Chinese Democracy In China
Guns N’ Roses' latest album might be called Chinese Democracy, but if fans in China want to hear the group’s first record in 14 years, they’ll have to get it on the black market.
GN’R’s label, Geffen Records, told Reuters, “It is unlikely we will be approved to release the album in mainland China.” The CD most likely won’t be OK’d by the country’s strict culture ministry, but thankfully, piracy is pretty rampant in China, so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
However, the French Press Agency reports that China’s Internet censors are blocking any searches for Chinese Democracy and wouldn’t even let Web surfers access the album’s official site, ChineseDemocracy.com.
• Former GN’R Members Talk About Chinese Democracy
Guns N’ Roses' long-awaited album Chinese Democracy came out on Sunday and it seems like some of the band’s former members had a chance to check it out.
Ex-GN’R drummer Matt Sorum told Rockerrazzi.com his thoughts on the title track and first single, “Chinese Democracy”. Sorum stated, “I think it’s cool. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the single. I like the way it was mixed. Axl’s voice sounded great.”
Meanwhile, according to Blabbermouth.net, former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan revealed that he heard the single as well, but it was at the gym so he wasn’t really listening to it. Duff added that he doesn’t really pay attention to music and that he probably knows “the least about the record”, but said, “I’m sure there’s probably amazing stuff on there”.
McKagan was happy for Axl for getting the CD out and wished him the best.

Rolling Stone has posted one of the first reviews of Guns N’ Roses long-awaited album Chinese Democracy. The magazine refers to it as a “great, audacious, unhinged and uncompromising hard rock record.” The author writes that it reminds him of old-school GN’R and really talks up Axl Rose’s work with the line, “If Rose ever had a moment’s doubt or repentance over what Chinese Democracy has cost him in time (13 years), money (14 studios are listed in the credits) and body count – including the exit of every other founding member of the band – he left no room for it in these 14 songs.”
To read more, head to RollingStone.com or decide for yourself when Chinese Democracy hits shelves on November 23rd.

• Get Your Free Dr. Pepper Thanks To Axl Rose
Because Guns N’ Roses’ long-awaited album Chinese Democracy is coming out on November 23rd, Dr. Pepper is going to have to pay up.
The company stated that if Axl Rose got the record out by the end of 2008, they would give everyone except for former GN’R members Slash and Buckethead a free soda.
According to Rolling Stone, an executive at Dr. Pepper said, “We never thought this day would come but now that it’s here all we can say is: The Dr. Pepper’s on us.” On November 23rd, go to DrPepper.com, register your info and in four to six weeks, you’ll get a coupon that can be redeemed for a free soda. Kiss unhappy about rock hall of fame exclusion
They've sold millions of records, and influenced several generations of fans and musicians. So why isn't Kiss in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? "There are disco bands, rap bands, Yiddish folk song bands in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but not Kiss," the band's outspoken frontman said during a speech at the Billboard Touring Conference
How Axl Rose Spent All That Time
?Chinese Democracy? is the Titanic ship of rock albums: It?s outsize, lavish, obsessive, technologically advanced and, all too clearly, the end of an era.
The 20 Dumbest Band Names of All Time
#12 - Boyz II Men -- Everyone loves some ?Motownphilly,? but the creativity behind this group?s name is just plain stupid. What was Michael Bivins smoking when he decided to allow the Philadelphia legends to release R&B records under one of the worst play on words ever?
60 Belgian Women Sing Radiohead's Creep (Listen)
That said, it?s been a long time since I?ve actually listened to any early-era Radiohead, but I recently discovered this fantastic live recording of Scala & Kolacny Brothers doing a beautifully sullen piano and voice rendition of Radiohead?s ubiquitous 1993 single. The cluster of sixty something Belgian women focus primarily on minimalist...
