Bret Michaels (singer for glam-rock band Poison) and Joe Elliott (singer for aging rockers Def Leppard) have been exchanging words as of late.
According to Blabbermouth, the Def Leppard man (Joe) made a comment last month in Sweden that bands like Poison and Crue paid more attention to their image than their music in the ‘80s.
Michaels, after hearing the characterization, denied it and then added his own two cents, “First of all, that band [DEF LEP] shouldn’t be knocking anyone about their music since they just did a show called Dancing with the Stars in the US and they got crucified because they f***ing lip-synched the entire show, so before they bust anyone’s balls, I’ve never lip-synched a f***ing thing in my life - ever!”
OK... settle down there "Bret". That still doesn’t clear the air about the jab that Poison worried more about their hair and make-up than their music. And didn't you do a reality show, too?
Here’s a comparison of the two rivals: Yeah, um... Joe's still right about that statement.
Oh, look at that... Rick Allen has no arms in that picture. Foreshadowing? Perhaps.
