Could Coldplay be planning to release the follow up to Viva La Vida next year?
A source at EMI tells the UK’s Telegraph that the band’s sessions for this latest record were so “fruitful” that there was more than one album laid down. All the group would have to do is go back into the studio for a short while and record a few more songs.

The singer has already hinted that a release next year would include the band’s collaboration with Kylie Minogue. A spokesperson told NME.com, though, that “the band’s relationship with EMI is both long-term and positive.”
