Things are finally looking good for Guns N’ Roses long-delayed album, Chinese Democracy. First, some seemingly finished tracks were leaked and now, insiders tell Billboard that negotiations are underway for the record to come out as an exclusive at either Wal-Mart or Best Buy.
Though, another source tells the magazine that the disc may just be released in the conventional way. Irving Azoff now manages Axl and the boys and Azoff is well known for issuing albums exclusively through retailers, most recently with the Eagles’ Long Road out of Eden.
While no one from either the label or the stores could be reached for comment on the reports, it looks like after 14 years in the making, the light at the end of the tunnel is near for Chinese Democracy.
Another Track Leaks
A few months ago, a whole slew of tracks reportedly from Guns N’ Roses’ long-delayed album, Chinese Democracy, leaked on the Internet. Now, another new song has appeared online. It’s called “Shackler’s Revenge” and may be the song debuting on Rock Band 2.
According to Rolling Stone, the tune opens with a deep-voiced Axl Rose building up to his characteristic yowl. The magazine also reports “layers upon layers of Axls create a particular sort of demented choir.”
