Incubus joined Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D and The Flaming Lips at VH1 Rock Honors The Who on Saturday night. The band performed “I Can See For Miles” and guitarist Mike Einziger shared his feelings on performing in front of The Who.
“We really didn’t spend a lot of time worrying about getting it just right or in thier sort of tradition of just getting up and rocking as hard as you can and just not really worrying about it. So we got together and played the song a bunch of times and we all kind of knew the song beforehand anyways. So it really was as natural and we’re scared.”
Frontman Brandon Boyd echoed his sentiment.
“I’m nervous and excited. I just hope we don’t f**k up. We will a little bit I’m sure, but if you see microphones being destroyed and or guitars, that means we f**ked up.”
We can assure you no instruments were broken on stage during their performance. VH1 Rock Honors The Who will air this Thursday night at 9PM EST on VH1.
