Killers In The Studio

The Killers are working on the follow-up to their 2006 album Sam’s Town.

MTV News reports that the band plans to release the new album in November and that they are recording in their hometown of Las Vegas. The report also reveals that Stuart Price (known for his work with New Order, Beck, Coldplay, Madonna and Seal - among many others), is producing the record.

Singer Brandon Flowers tells Rolling Stone that they wrote nearly 30 songs for the record and he says “everything is at stake on this album”. He goes on to describe the sound of the record as “stripped down”, “poppy” and “experimental”.

The name of the album is Day and Age and its due out this fall.

Adding to the excitement, The Killers played a surprise show in New York for members of their fan club, "The Victims", at the Highline Ballroom this month.
