Mötley Crüe have released the video to “Saints of Los Angeles”, the first single and title track off their new album. The black and white clip shows the band performing an underground concert spliced with various high speed camera shots, like one of drummer Tommy Lee getting slapped in the face.
There are guest appearances from Buckcherry’s Josh Todd, Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix, Sixx A.M.’s James Michael and Trapt’s Chris Brown, who all provide backing vocals on the track.
They are all also members of bands that will head out on tour with the Crue during the group’s 40-plus-city trek dubbed Crue Fest ’08. That kicks off on July 1st in West Palm Beach, Florida and tickets for the shows are either on sale now or will go on sale tomorrow. Meanwhile, Saints of Los Angeles, the album, hits shelves on June 17th.
The band took the stage at the Avalon in Hollywood last week and performed “Kickstart My Heart,” and also debuted their new single “Saints of Los Angeles.” At the press conference before the show, the band talked about the tour. Drummer Tommy Lee said, “Hopefully it’ll be like Ozzfest and carry on for years.”

Nikki Sixx Gives An Update... Nikki Sixx has updated fans about what the Crue is up to. The bassist revealed on his site, NikkiSixx.net, that not only is the band’s new album done, but the artwork and first video are also finished. In fact, Sixx is pretty excited about that first clip, telling fans that if they liked the song, then they will be pretty impressed with the video. It’s for “Saints of Los Angeles".
Also, it turns out that the song is the title track for the group’s ninth album. The disc was going to be called The Dirt, but that idea has since been scrapped. Saints of Los Angeles, which is Motley Crue’s first all-new studio album since 2000 is due out this summer.
