New Doc Featuring Tool, VR & More

 Tool singer Maynard James Keenan, Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante and Jimmy Eat World frontman Jim Adkins are among the musicians, critics and others appearing in "The Heart is a Drum Machine", a new documentary that "explores music's role in shaping human history, the profound connection people have had to music throughout human history, how it has shaped our experiences and its involvement in our daily lives," according to a press release.
The film, directed by Christopher Pomerenke, also features interviews with Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, Modest Mouse's Isaac Brock, the Silversun Pickups, former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland and actors-turned-musicians Elijah Wood, Jason Schwartzman and Juliette Lewis, along with many more.
The film is produced by the same team behind "Moog", an acclaimed 2006 documentary about the inventor of the famed Moog synthesizer.
