Davis Guggenheim (IMDb) is best known for directing Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, but he might soon be known for another movie. Guggenheim is putting the final touches on a documentary called It Might Get Loud, which examines the history of the electric guitar from the viewpoint of three rock musicians.
Variety reports those three rockers are Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, U2's The Edge and The White Stripes' Jack White. They were chosen because of their impact across three different generations. The film even includes a jam session between the three musicians.
Look for it to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
