We're going to throw a brand spankin' new Music News feature at you today. We like to call it "Remember Them?". Catchy huh? I agree.
So, for the first installment of "Remember Them?" we decided to take you back to the days of 120 Minutes, you know, when MTV played videos... GREAT videos.
The band was called Sunny Day Real Estate from Seattle, WA. The song, "In Circles". It's off of their debut CD Diary which was released on Sub Pop Records in 1994.
You may recognize the bassist and drummer. They went on to become the rhythm section for a little band called Foo Fighters. Heard of 'em?
Anyway, after their debut release, Sunny Day recorded the brilliant Pink Album which also lent a track to the Batman Forever soundtrack. Lead singer, Jeremy Enigk, went on to record a few solo albums after the release of the Pink Album but those never really caught the ears of die hard fans. He also scored the soundtrack for the Ryan Gosling/Kevin Spacey flick The United States of Leland.
A live CD and two more releases followed along with reunion shows and full tours for How It Feels To Be Something On and The Rising Tide. And you thought they simply disappeared into obscurity...

The 20 Dumbest Band Names of All Time
#12 - Boyz II Men -- Everyone loves some ?Motownphilly,? but the creativity behind this group?s name is just plain stupid. What was Michael Bivins smoking when he decided to allow the Philadelphia legends to release R&B records under one of the worst play on words ever?
60 Belgian Women Sing Radiohead's Creep (Listen)

The cluster of sixty something Belgian women focus primarily on minimalist...
