We know that the Stone Temple Pilots will be heading out on a huge reunion tour this summer, but is an actual new album in the works? Bassist Robert DeLeo told Billboard.com that they hope to write new material once the tour is finished. He hopes that after the trek, the guys will be more acclimated with one another and ready to get working on the next record.
Scott Weiland recently told Howard Stern that he is working on a solo album with legendary producer Steve Albini behind the knobs and No Doubt drummer Adrian Young manning the drum kit.
The STP tour gets underway at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, OH on May 17th. The tour makes a stop in the NYC area on May 31st at K-Rock's Return of the Rock show at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.
