What To Expect At Crue Fest
|
Motley Crue have been keeping quiet about what their Crue Fest set will look like. While most of the band members have been tight lipped about the details, MTV News got drummer Tommy Lee to fill us in on some of them.
“The lighting is absolutely incredible and we’re using some brand new lights that haven’t been used before, you’ll know what they are when you see them, they come down on these huge scissor things and the video presentation, you know, we’ve all seen the big giant pristine high def video screen behind the band, well ours I jacked up. I don’t want to give too much more away, but, it’s rad.”
Buckcherry Bring The Power
Despite the tour’s name, Motley Crue are not the only act playing. Fans will also get to see sets from Buckcherry, Papa Roach and more. Singer Josh Todd of Buckcherry says to expect a powerful performance from them.
"You know, the lineup’s different and it’s like the band we’ve always wanted to be in. You know, so the shows have had more power behind them and you know we’re just getting along really well as adults, so you know I think that makes a whole lot of difference too.”
Papa Roach Try New Things
Papa Roach will be part of this summer’s Crue Fest alongside Buckcherry, Sixx:AM and, of course, Motley Crue. Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix says to expect new things from the band on stage, as they are always experimenting with their live show.
"I think it’s, you know, good for us to always try new things and sometimes the new things work out great and sometimes you just fall flat on your face, but the thing with being an artist is, there is always that ebb and flow of success and failure.”
Crue Fest Groups On Rock Band
To celebrate the kick-off of the fest, Rock Band is offering a special song pack featuring some of the festival’s groups. You can now download tracks from Motley Crue, Papa Roach and Trapt to your Rock Band video game for just 99 cents a piece. Included in the pack is “Down at the Whisky”, a new tune off of the Crue’s latest album, Saints of Los Angeles.
The tracks are now available.
The tour will make stops in the NYC area on July 8th at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater and on August 23rd at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ. To find out if Crue Fest will be rocking your town, check out the Tickets section of Motley.com. |
