I'd have to say Floyd, but it's close... for tomorrow, i'm predicting Zeppelin over the who (crappy draw for the who, they shouldnt have to face zepp in rd. 2), Metallica crushes Def Leppard, Sublime narrowly over Soundgarden, and Incubus barely over S.O.A.D, great matcups

In my opinion, some brackets are stacked like the Led Zep and Metallica divisions, whereas the Nirvana division is a bit weaker

sublime is entertaining and great to sing drunk but soundgarden is music and a definition of the 90's. Soundgarden was famous because of talent instead of a lead singer dying

ummm, either: a)Ian is reading off of a script. b) He's was using some of that dry English wit we hear so much about or c) He needs to be sent back to London on the next flight, because if he honestly thought, as he stated, that the Incubus/Kid Rockbattle would be a close one, he has no business being anywhere near the music industry. Or the media industry. Or in the country as far as I'm concerned. That battle should have been 99.9% to 0.1% (well, you have to allow for human error and stupidity).

Am I the only one posting right now? I think I must be, b/c the last 4 comments have been mine. Sigh. I kinda hate this job. It's slowly crushing my soul. Maybe that's why I've been so into floyd lately.

BTW, I never saw PJ in concert but I did see Beck. It was a great preformance, so please stop with the insults. The truth is that this bracket kinda sucked, because the people (like myself) who listen to Beck (Go it Alone is an awesome song people!!!) also listen to Pearl Jam, but not all the people that listen to Pearl Jam listen to Beck. I think Pearl Jam is (was) a better band, but I also think that Beck deserves to be in here more than some of the other bands listed.

Alice in Chains being knocked off by Sublime is such a disappointment... Such a same.

Atleast BUSH losing to THE OFFSPRING wasnt like ALICE losing to Sublime.. Sublime had a minor impact w/their reggae, ska, grungy?sort of Cali thing.. BUT AIC was smoldering, hard, grunge-rock talent.. I operate from a heart place w/music.. ALICE IN CHAINS, i sure felt.. Sublime was decent drinking music, catchy, a bit cutting edge... BUSH's, COMEDOWN, just takes me back to a time of well, drugs and girls, heartbreak, just trying to find out who I was at 25.. I like THE OFFSPRING, really good sound, ive seen them.. But, i've seen Rossdale too.. BUSH IS THE BETTER BAND..

As for AIC, it was probably unfair, but at least it was close, unlike The Police and REM, which really should have been closer (I know you all hate on Sting, but at least he was making music while Bon Jovi was busy getting his hair styled and guest starring on Ally McBeal). So, not really that bad a loss. I was ambivalent about Bush vs The Offspring. Both bands are kind of in that "hey I used to like a couple of your songs-everything zen, smash it up-but now I don't ever really feel the need to listen to you" category. Speaking of which, Batman Forever Soundtrack, also a really underrated soundtrack (don't laugh, listen beyond Seal-it's pretty awesome).

BTW, Seal in French is "phoque." (say it out loud) Think about that when you get jealous of the guy who gets to go home to Heidi Klum every night.

I know we should be past all the bands that didn't make it on here, but for the 90's bracket (b4 they started doing bad covers of Joni Mitchell songs) what happened to Counting Crows? Mr Jones just came up on my i-pod. And Anna Begins, and so many other great songs.

I think FLOYD win hands down - for video evidence see LIVE AT POMPEII - Aerosmith are ok but they jumped the shark when they started using Liv in their videoa.....and who can forget the terribleness that was the vidoe for PINK? Ugh....

Knowone here can deny the sheer awesomeness of Serj and his crew. I root them all the way to the Finals, because we all know that they ruled in the late 90's when they came out. There are few bands out now that can really give them a challenge. As for todays bracket, im not familiar with any Incubus songs but, I will say, It won't be a Nickelback-style Pwnage, but System will win.

LP, has mmany songs that really rock, Crawling, One step Closer, the album "Meteora" really got some heavy stuff, I agree these are overplayed "Bleed It Out" "Shadow of the Day" and "What I've Done".
