Pearl Jam may have some popular hits, but a lot of bands have replicated their music style. RHCP has a music style that is very good and is hard for other bands to replicate, so its way more unique, and to me, unique is better. Also, the lead singer for PJ is just another Hootie from Hootie and the blowfish. Bring on someone who I can't easily compare their vocals to.

sooo agreed, Under the Bridge is the ONLY song that slightly penetrates my heart...BLACK, DAUGHTER, ONCE - not even in the vicinity of sing-songy- which is OTN- on the nose..

Its all a matter of opinion people most of the bands competing here are good in their own right... But honestly some of the people who vote for ie: RHCP Grenday Incubus Nickleback so on and so forth is because they like the catchy tunes and do not pay attention to the musical content of other bands such as PJ SOAD Tool and many others they dont like them because they dont understand them, its like poetry many of us like poetry cuz we understand a deeper meaning and seek more than what we're given and people just settle for mainstream music made to sell not to listen...

That would be fine, but would defeat the purpose of March Madness. It's supposed to be a pun on the NCAA tournament. I think whoever wins this year shouldn't be able to go up again next year so we could get a new winner every year
